near a beach,
playpark a must,

Cant advise on sites as we avoid it then, just maybe be prepared to book.
School holidays, campsites and close to a beach not a good combination...
Prices will also be high..

We travelled down to Spain and back in this years school hols with our 2 grandkids aged 6 and 8. Stayed on aires.
Had one stop over that had a park outside plus an outdoor pool just across the road. Another with a lake you could swim in, man made beach and a big play area.. You dont always need the coast...

Sure someone will came and advise you soon...:thumb:

In Jan buy the ACSI DVD. Click France and you'll have thousands of sites with full information on them.

If you want somewhere decent this limits you to Cherbourg or Caen I would say.

What's the point of being near Calais, same miserable Brit weather with a French accent.

One year - summer and winter
La Bien Assise is good. We have used it on and off since 1985
The pool is now heated ( essential if you are N of the Loire )
It is part of the Castels Camping Chain.
Take out pizza and chips etc but V good restaurant too.
Not sure about public transport.
Easy reach of Calais ferry ( <1hour ) and well signed to ferry if you are heading home.
Sorry we have not stayed near Cherbourg or Caen.
