Very suspicious that the BBC news at 10 has not even mentioned this.
Thousands of drivers stranded.
If it was snow, there would have been crews on every bridge showing us the stranded drivers!
I am deeply suspicious of this news agency even more so.

Sky are only running it as a breaking news item without any reporters.

I suspect the news agencies have been asked to keep it low profile - for now.

Hope it's open this morning, will be going to Dorset about 8 - 9 o'clock. I know a while back certain times cars went free does any one know if this is still happening. Years ago it was said the tolls would be removed when it was paid for, to much of a money spinner to do that now I suppose.

I think it's free between 10 PM and 6am.

It was times like the Friday trouble that they said they would waver the Emission Charge -I wonder if they did as motorists had to go into London and use the Blackwall Tunnel to get to Kent.
I have looked and cant find any mention if they did.

They were going to stop the tolls when the bridge had paid for itself instead they put the tolls up and now they are having to build another Bridge so that has to be paid for.oh:

in my opinion the ONLY REASON
for a new crossing is the toll booths
if you didnt have to stop
there would be no jam
obviously i cant be sure as i have no qualification
in traffic management
but i can work it out all the same

even holding a residents/dart tag you still
have to que with all the traffic and stop
barrier comes down red to green light
then proceed

takes just as long as those without a tag
just a little. cheaper
