Hi all

Still looking for our first motorhome and have got the chance of a localy owned A Class Pilote Mooveo 6 berth on an 08 plate.

The question is , is the A class the same costruction as the coachbuilt?.. as being a carpenter and joiner by trade am a little concerned about eventual rot etc.
Thanks

Yes, it was.! :roflmto:

Well, no not really, quite an interesting question as it somethign which varies from make to make and model to model.

With regards to that particular van, I don't know.

Most motorhomes (A Class and Coach Built) are timber framed. Some are aluminium and some a mixture (with steel thrown in for good measure). I understand some of the modern vans have no metal or timber framing.

Rotting of the frame becomes a problem when you have a damp problem, mostly caused by rain leaking into the van. If you can stop water getting in where it shouldn't then you can probably sleep easy.

I dont have any experiance with that model.

But over here the Pilote name is well regarded.

I think if its well looked after and you do all the checks it sounds to me like a very nice van.

Just make sure you do check everything or have a indipendant examinatuion done.

I think this must apply to most of us.

But at least on here we are not judged {I hope:ROFLMAO:}

Thanks everyone, I was pretty sure it was as coachbuilt, just in the ebay search options they are listed separately which made me wonder,

The van in question is going on ebay and is now above our budget so will have to keep looking.........
