Never been there Bill, but I hope you have a good time and that the new van performs well.

Know them both - both nice places. Call in at Bolton Abbey, very pleasant spot by the river Wharfe., CC campsite there... Skipton market (Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat) very good.

Harrogate is rather posh and there's plenty o brass there :roflmto: They have Betty's Cafe where you need a mortgage to sit down. The Gt Yorkshire Showground and the Stray. Knaresborough is close by and well worth a visit :thumb:

Skipton is the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales and has a castle, a good market, the Leeds Liverpool Canal and a nice fish & chip shops. :thumb:

Skipton... mmmmm

There's some cracking pie shops in Skipton, down near he canal where you can book onto nice genteel canal boat trips.

Harrogate is a bit more gentrified.... lots of nice Victorian architecture... Betty's Tea Room if you can stretch to the ridiculous prices (but good old-fashioned service).

Grassington is close to Skipton and is very nice. Plus it's a cracking road from Skipton, through Grassington, Pateley Bridge, Knaresbrough and then Harrogate (or reverse if you're stopping at Harrogate first).

Not sure I'd fancy reversing for that distance!:ROFLMAO:

Oh, I see what you mean.::bigsmile:
