Pub (or nearby) Stop M1, M6 or M40 (1 Viewer)

Heading for Dover in a week's time and recon we'll need a stop around the Stafford, Nottingham, Northampton, Banbury areas depending on . . . .

Fancy trying a Pub Stop or pub nearby nearish motorway.

So, any first hand experience/recommendations of any pubs or wee sites near pubs in any of these areas would be most welcome.
