We had hoped it might be our first MCC meet but we have a couple of appointments on Monday and couldn't get away for the earlier days. Never mind, there will be future opportunities

We spent a week here with the MCC Northern Counties Group a couple of years ago. We were made very welcome and had a great time with them. A great location just across the road from the beach, and with good transport links into Newcastle and to the Beamish Museum.

Brisey.

spent some time at a little site right opposite Marsden Rock watching the young cormorants fledging. Loved the area with souter lighthouse (reminds me of my time as a mechanic with trinity house repairing them) and along the old mine valley.:Smile::Smile::thumb:

I went to the dark side :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Chief Engineer :thumb:l:thumb::thumb:

Get thee gone, Satan.......:ROFLMAO: ironically I spend most of my working life with engineer superintendents and fleet managers nowadays - mainly dealing with bunkering Marpol and fuel issues. Us boat drivers seem to be in a minority on the shore side. Cheers :thumb:
