Swift are set to contruct all future caravans and motorhomes with Polyurethane to make them impervious to damp and water ingress.

Previously, this has only been seen in Nordic regions where PU construction has been used with excellent results. These versions are made using all PU framework, walls and floors.

There have been many jokes about water and Swift - now their humour will be turning rather dry!

Why do manufacturers come up with these daft tenuous anacronyms?

SOLiD, SMART, PuRE? They just describe what the best continental manufacturers have been doing for years.
And what is new about sealing screws????!!:roflmto:

Time will tell.

Water solved - allegedly, but what new unforeseen problems ? I won't be queuing up to buy the first ones.
Me neither, one Konleaky is enough for anyone.:rain: They will slowly perfect this new construction with the help of the customers reporting their design flaws.

Can't remember ;)
Be interesting to see how they makes leaks now ::bigsmile: last time they claimed it was due to not sealing the skirts enabling water to run down van sides and soak into flooring :Eeek:If they still fail to seal them they will still leak ::bigsmile:

There is only one guaranteed leak proof motorhome construction, and that is monocoque. Anything that has joints will eventually leak. By there very nature motorhome bodies move and where there is movement at a joint in time it will leak regardless of what its made from.

It would have to be breathable PU or they'll be calling their leaks condensation.
