Hello and welcome.

As to your question - in a word no! If you can find a legal, i.e not stolen motorhome for 10 grand younger than 2003, I'd eat my hat! And I don't want to be eating my new Stetson as I need it for Malvern. ::bigsmile:

Welcome! to MHF!

As previously mentioned, you might have to add six to ten years to the age of your prospective motorhome to get something which is in good nick and still in the hands of its rightful owner!

Ebay has its fair share of motorhomes, but be VERY careful. A ten grand motorhome is best judged as if it is a £200 car!

There is a thread on here somewhere about good starter vans. It will give you a good idea about what is on the market. Use the search link at the top the top of the page to find it!:thumb:

many many years! since I was a kid
you may find a 2003 panel van conversion inside your budget but 2003 coachbuilts seem to start around £14k upwards. Take a browse of EBay for an idea of prices

you may get lucky and find a high mileage ex hire van for about £10k

generally though if something looks like a huge bargain, be prepared to be disappointed its likely a scam. theres lots of those about:thumb:

18 years s Motorhome (33years caravans)
Hello and welcome to Motorhome fun. I would not discard motorhomes before 2003, a lot of genuine vans have quite a low mileage so the year is not that important.

Don't take the prices on e bay as a guide a fair few are scams and you need to be vigilant.

Realistically I would say for £10,000 you are looking around the 1996 age for a 2000 upwards depending on mileage and condition £17,000 upwards.:welcomefunster:

Westmidlandcaravans.co.uk have a 2 berth VW transporter for sale for just under. It's a 2000 van and looks in good nick

You could also try Autotrader. I'd keep clear of EBay though unless you are very savvy. Lots of tricksters about

I understand your point to a degree but a 10,000 motorhome equaling a 200 car isn't always the case. We saw some decent "classics" for 10,000 where as I wouldn't touch any car for 200

Try Motorlands at Freckleton- Preston, they seem to stock a few budget motorhomes that are reasonably priced.

I know exactly where you can buy a 2003 or newer motorhome for a lot less than £10000.

eBay

but dont expect to ever actually see the van...or your money.....ever again. :winky:

not being funny but £10k isnt going to get a 2003 motorhome...you'll need maybe £8k more or 8 years older.
