Work over and we are all loaded and heading up the A12 riving2: towards London to the Lee Valley campsite for the weekend. Bikes loaded for an exciting weekend of cycling events including the Prudential Free Ride in central london and the Prudential Ride London-Surrey Classic. The weather forecast is fantastic and we have a few bottles of fine French red wine just waiting to be enjoyed once we get there. This is what weekends were made for!! I have already forgotten what a stressful day it was at work

Yes, they are closing an 8 mile loop that goes past Buckingham palace, Nelsons column, Houses of Parliament etc. very exciting opportunity. They are expecting 50,000 cyclists of all ages. That is on Saturday and then the 100 mile classic starts from the Olympic stadium on Sunday.

On our way home from an awesome weekend of cycling, 110kms cycled in total and it was fantastic being able to cycle traffic free in London although it would probably have been easier with cars than 50,000 cyclist of varying degrees of ability!! :thumb:
