My kids introduced me to this last week. What a great way to communicate. Been using it a lot. No picture message charges either. Useful in the UK. But brilliant for use abroad when you have s WiFi connection. Its available for all smart phones. Just install it and you'll immediately see who in your contacts is a whstaapp user. I was amazed to see how many of my friends were users. Reccomend you install it today:thumb:

And I am not sure what it does that Skype doesn't. ..

The charge is next to nothing, my children with i phones paid 78p upfront.
I have a Samsung Galaxy and it cost me 68p but I don`t pay until the end of the first year.:thumb:
It`s a totally different service to that of skype.

My sister and I use it, we dont have to log into it if we want to chat, good for sending pics too

I think its free for the first year and 69p a year thereafter. Using Whatsapp is just like having unlimited text and MMS. It was the MMS I was interested in. As my three bundle, gives me thousands of texts, voice and unlimited data, but no free MMS. It works instantly just like sending a regular MMS, and I find it much more convenient that email or Skype.

Another great (and free) option, is Google 'hangouts'. Does messaging, pictures and video.

I use it too and is excellent but also use Viber as my Aussie daughter and some other friends have it . Works the same and is free .
