Thinking of fitting a panel.

All brackets are still on roof from previous owner with a size of 1.3m length .62 width.

I think a 120 panel is around this size, but not that many on ebay at a good price.

Any one know were the best deals are on these, will also need a regulator.

Thanks.

Well that`s our 13th year & still loving it.
Try Detriot Solar Tel 01773-860030.
Based in Alfreton so not too far from you.
We`ve had two panels fitted by John, fully professional very tidy well pleased with his service.:thumb:
Also he won`t fob you off with cheap Chinese panels.

Also try this as well, as this can get 100% power all day long from first sun up to sundown, as you can track the sun yourself, where as roof fitted one only gets full power when sun is up high in sky, wish I new about this one before I had my roof one fitted. Regards Garry Flatpackchicken

on the roof saves having to keep moving it .
plus it can make you camping when you might be parking . plus at that price you could have 4x 80wt panels these days and a reg . fix them on roof and once the sun comes out it starts working . you can stay in bed ,not having to get up and set the panel. plus on the roof panels work when parked up in the street etc .
your choice . but its on the roof for me .

Have you checked out Bimble Solar? They claim to be the cheapest but no idea on the quality. I found out about them from the forum here.

Do you consider this cheap ?

Fitted one last week, saw nearly 60W but surprising still managed 1A when dull, clouded over. Beautifully made. Next day delivery.

yes thats ok. a few years ag that would have been hundreds .
my first panels were 200quid sec hand . for 80w .
have seen 80,s down to just over 70quid if you shop hard . mine work all year either in the truck in winter or i feed the house in summer with an extension lead off the inverter .
every little helps . i park close to the house ideal.

>> Or £5 cheaper from the same company on Amazon

Damn. They got me.

I did return their controller, it might be OK but no display and not MPPT, so I got a bit more expensive one.

Me too

I would like one fitted too, but being a newbie would like to know if it only feeds the leisure battery which only works the lights and not sockets. Does anyone know please??

thanks,
Helen

With a relay fitted it will charge both. Once the hab battery is full, anything the panel produces goes into the engine battery.
