I have been on here now for awhile.
This my first post.

We live on the West coast of Ireland. Connamara is on our doorstep and we have some lovely mountain walk and National park near Letterfrank.
We have many Blue flag beaches.
We have some Campsites along the coast. The price is around €20 to €25.

We are in our early sixtys. We travel mostly to France in May for 2 months.
Neil works part time ans is self employed.
I'm at home due to a disability.
Our children are married and we have 5 grandchildren who we live for.
They live locally TG.

If your need info on this area just ask.

Thanks to all for the welcome.

Jim.
We love Brittany and will always spend sometime there on most visits.
We have travelled to France for the last 8 years.
Done most of coast from La Havre to Biarritz and Loire, Dordogne, Lot, Alps, Paris, Pyrenees and some of the Med coast line.
We are more tourers than staying on Campsite. We use Aires also. Sometime we wildcamp if we think someone else will stay.

Mayo is the next county north.
Some great beaches near Westport and Louisburg.
Swinford is near Knock.

Thanks again for welcome.

The beaches around Westport/Louisburg are often empty.

We might met up someday on the roads of France. Do you use the Aires?

Stayed in Lough Derravaragh a few years ago. I suppose you heard the story of "The children of Lir"
Liam certainly knows his stuff. Rang him on Tue and he had me sorted in a phone call.
Where are you this weeekend?

We would love to move to France but we have strong family ties here.
Will call to La Motte Campsite next time we in the aera.

Let us know when you coming to Connamara and we can met up for a chat.
Do you know what part your daughter in law parents lives?
We went to Portugal in Feb for a month to a Apt. Never again we were to confine, even though we hired a car. You live and learn.
We stayed in Twinlakes May/June 2006. Was that you in the corner at the back. We all had a drink that night. Cannot remember name of man who runs it. Was very helpful to us as we needed to fit Tap in kitchen.

davaud

We don't tour in the winter but we try to go out every other weekend in the summer. When we go to France we usual go for 2 months. At the moment we are ready to build after downsizing so don't know how often we get out this year.
Ireland is beautiful if we were sure of the weather. We had a great May so far. Long may it last. Hope you get away in your motorhome as often as possible.
