Since Feb 2013….2nd Van
Just had BT Infinity installed today. An earth shattering leap in technical terms for the Journeyman residence. Went from 3 megs to about 30megs. Bizarrely its £3 a month cheaper than the previous BT all-in broadband package we were using. The installation was pain free, and what really pleased me the installers were 2 ex-soldiers, who had been scooped up by BT's recruitment drive of service personnel.

They were telling me that when BT was rigging out the Olympic village, there was a team of ex military installers who were streets ahead of the other BT teams in the installation process. So senior managers decided that was where they would recruit the latest tranche of Open Reach guys from.....Great story if its true?

Also saved £50 odd quid a year, by paying the BT line line rental upfront, so down equivalent from about £15pm to around £11.....Every little helps

Still making mistakes! But they're not as costly.
Jealous, can't get Infinity here yet. 2017 evidently :Eeek:

Ha, we were with bt, max speed was about half a meg.
If we were lucky, sometimes we would get 1 meg.
With Plusnet now, no better speed, but much cheaper

My father-in-law was just converted to BTinfinity. He now has lightning fast Internet but his land line phone doesn't appear to ring out.
