Coming of a late ferry at cairnryan would like to park up for the night Ayr, Girvan direction.

Anyone know of a secure spot for the night.

not exactly 'secure' but there are endless pull in places on the loch side between Stranrar and Girvan.

Doubt very much you would be disturbed.

Girvan harbour carpark stacks use it Motorhomes, caravans, Trucks Free toilets open 10.00 to 20.00 hours further on past Girvan about 10 minutes on right before Maidens you will come across a restaurant with parking they will charge.

Hi Trevor,

There is a hotel listed in Brit Stops at Ballentrae, not quite sure if its the Royal Hotel or similar, but its on the left hand side coming from Cairn Ryan,

I am sure that they would welcome you, even if not a Brit Stops member, :thumb:

Drove through Girvan yesterday morning and there was a Cathargo parked up in the lay-by at the southern end of the town, blinds down. Also, as above , down by the harbour. Or, you could turn right off the ferry and there is a big lay-by 6 miles south of Cairnryan on the lochside just before Stranraer. Spoilt for choice really.

Regarding the Cathargo it has been parked up since March take it owner lives there.

I am in the area at least one day a week working so see it regularily.
