I have to replace a seatbelt for one of the habitation seats. Looking at the Securon website I can order one that has either a Vertical or Horizontal retractor

I think its vertical but cant be sure because I don't really understand what is meant by vertical or horizontal retractor.

Anyone know?

Yep thats the site I am looking at but there are two options horizontal or vertical and I want to say vertical but cant be 100% sure

We're having a look at it on the "Lap and Diagonal Belts" page, but it's not the easiest thing to get your head around:Confused::Confused:

if the retractor spool (the bit the belt coils into when not in use) is fixed to the door pillar or side wall it is vertical

if its mounted on the floor its horizontal

VERTICAL

HORIZONTAL...other way up for floor mounting

if the wrong one is fitted it wont come out of the retractor as the locking mechanism will be locked.
