So then, after all the poo banter............ I thought I might ask a few other questions.

What about using Ecover Laundry Bleach? Their website says it is safe for septic tanks...

.

Or what about Ecover Washing Up Liquid? (same again)

Thoughts anyone??

(still bucking at the thought of pure poo :whatthe:)

I've a fosse septique in France and I just use regular washing up liquid and laundry detergent. Never caused a problem. Just never put bleach into a fosse.

In the Motorhomes cassette toilet I put Asda's cheapest bio washing powder, just over a quarter cup scoop. Works perfect.y and a £1 box lasts at least 3 weeks, usually about 4.

I'm a newbie in my second year.
Ecover laundry liquid is perfect for Laundry as it the washing up liquid for washing up. We have used nothing else for years and will use nothing else ever again if we get the chance to keep using it we will, hopefully the product will not disappear like so many good products do.

One bottle of washing up liquid lasts us a year... well just over a year actually. Before you ask No we do not have a dishwasher and yes we do wash up every day.

As for the toilet issue we can't use anything because of SWMBO's asthma. See the other toilet thread. Its not an issue and never has been for us. We keep everything clean and stand well back when we empty the cassette.
