nice job Jock, where did you have it done?
Thanks. :thumb:

Tappers, at Kings Norton, Birmingham. Chris Green and Champers have had work done by them too. There's no room for an RV at their premises, but there is a CC site close by, where Tappers will come out, remove items, reupholster and return them, often on the same day.

Cheers,

Jock.

I like the contrast of the light panels with the dark blue it has made a new van out of the interior

Amazing what a difference it makes!

I must get mine done, the fashion seemed to be in the 90`s to have a fluffy, sick coloured pattern on the interior almost like what grannies wallpaper used to look like :Eeek:

Brilliant.

Tappers did a great job on the seats and cushions from our son's camper earlier this year. They came to Middlesbrough to collect everything and delivered it back after the job was done. They obviously charged for that but at reasonable rates.

Very nice job Jock.

Have you got a carpet fitter/supplier sorted yet?

We had our Hymer carpet refitted by www.crusadercarpets.co.uk some time ago, and are thinking of another refit of carpet just now. They have provided a quote which is fair, but on ebay under "bespoke caravan and motorhome replacement ccarpets" I found a company called :

Carpet Whipping and Fringing Services,
Unit 13
Paper Mill End
of Aldridge Road
Great Barr
Birmingham
B44 8NH

0121 572 2753

I hope to check them out next week, and test the market. They apparently will cut and whip your own supplied carpet, to your templates, or supply the carpet from there stock. Should be worth a look.

We had Tappers refit our Autocruise Wentworth last year, from tired old material to cream and green leather. They supplied and fitted replacement foam on the bench seats with a memory foam topper included. The drivers seat was a bit soft so they also re-foamed that for me. Had I wanted it they would also have fitted heated seat pads. As previously said, we stayed at the Church Lane CC Site and Richard from Tappers came out and collected the pieces and returned them, he never left us with the van in an unliveable state. We are over the moon, and are delighted with all the very positive comments we have received....even the guys who do my MOT and servicing wanted to know where it was done.

No problems Pete & Sal. Just bring plenty of carpet samples, now that you know the colour scheme. :ROFLMAO: (only joking).

See you both next week. :thumb:

Did they take the white £5 notes ok Jock:ROFLMAO:
They didn't need to Geo, as I had some newly printed "near original" ones. Unfortunately, they were still a bit tacky, but I managed to shoot off sharpish before they could suss me out. :winky:

Cheers,

Jock.

Just wondering why you are hesitant to go public on this one ! After all, it's not a scam site !:Cool::Cool:

I do my own valeting, which doesn't make any difference to the fading of the original colours over the years, and if I could have done the reupholstering myself, I would have.

You are right. it's not a scam site, however, it's down to personal preference and choice whether we divulge our costs, or not, as in our case.

Regards,

Jock.
