Tried to get some Milton sterilizing fluid to clean the freshwater tank in mh but they don't have any here or the Greek equivalent (well, we do live in the 'arse end' of Crete). Does anyone know if there is anything else we could use?
Thanks.

Milton is basically a weak bleach, therefor I would think you could use any bleach suitably diluted but ensure the whole system is flushed out well with fresh water as soon as job is done.

as the Greeks do like their alcohol, get some sterilising crystals from a home brew supplier (citric acid from memory). or find the equivalent used to sterilise babies bottles at a chemists

Miltons or bleach shouldn't be used in your water system it can effect the stainless steel tank in the boiler and cause chemicals to leach out of the plastic hoses, I've always used puriclens but the best alternative that will also descale your boiler is white vinegar

We made the mistake of steralizing the tank on our 2nd van.. Never again !!

As Alan says, chlorinated water is really all you need :thumb:
Our present van is coming up to 6 years old.. it works for us !!

Never heard of Zirvannia but I suspect the Greek equivalent is Tsipoura (Raki) - well now we're getting somewhere towards an answer. Think the best solution is to drain the Tsiproura bottle by swilling it myself and I won't give a toss whether the water tastes funny.
