Just had a quote for £450. for a new exhaust unless it has snapped after the cat where the cost would be £250.
Is this about right or should I keep looking:thumb:

£214.72 complete system, downpipe through to back box. You will need fitting kits etc, so look at around £260. Delivery is usually next morning.

Just back from got back from quik fit and they are quoting £700. fitted:Eeek:
Phoned around again and all places are saying the same as its a one piece unit and the cat is the expensive part:cry:
Would love to buy the thing myself and fit but wouldn't have a clue what I was doing:Doh: looks like someone's gonna make a tidy profit out of me today:Sad:

Hi Terry the picture isn't that good as the rust is really really bad. Further down the exhaust is quite bad so a new one would probably needed in the not to distance future. Once the new one is fitted today I will sleep better:Smile:

Cat is available as a single bolt on unit at £123 on its' own - so it is the most expensive part when you consider that the whole system was not much more.

And have the rest of the plumbing in stainless steel for almost the same price as an OEM replacement!
