Just a quick question. We have a new van with Alde heating. This is first time stuff where us and Alde are concerned.

Question, what type of pump do you have? Is is the 12v type that sits in the header tank, or the 12v inline type that sits next to the boiler or even the 230v inline type that sits next to the boiler?

We had the one in the header tank but have changed it to a 12v inline type due to a very noisy header tank

Would be interested to hear what others have

Cheers

Previous van had Alde heating with pump in header tank. Any noise is usually due to vibration of the header tank against the cupboard wall it is fixed in. A thin piece of foam insulation between the tank and cupboard wall usually stops this. Sometimes the pump bearing can get a bit noisy - a drop of light oil usually fixes that.

Ours is in the header tank ..... wouldn't say it was noisy but just a feint whirring sound which I like because it lets you know it's working.
