Hi , Have a good time and a safe trip. Let us know about the peak district as we are going up there after the Stratford meet, i.e. sites and places worth visiting etc.
Thanks Terry:sin:

Thanks Fidget, will do. We are using small sites - a camping barn car park for 1st 2 nights then a pub site in Torver near Coniston, then in the Peaks we will be at Knottlow Farm, a small site that has a loo & shower for out tenting friends.

10 days off work and 10 days in the van - The Lakes and Peaks here we come!!::bigsmile:

You can't do both justice in 10 days.

Both are excellent.

Here's a good one to start, got it's own brewery. Good cycling and also ride round Carsington Water.

On to here for Bakewell PUDDINGs and Monsal Head. Good cycle track on old railway.

The move to Hope area, a few campsites there. Visit the Derwent Dam.

Sorted.

Awesome.

The good people of Preston think the people of Market Harborough are even tastier than Ginsters pork pies, it's going to be celebration time in Preston.

Well we survived the first weekend of walking. After shoe-horning the motorhome down the narrowest lane and completing a pretty tough 8 miles over Seathwaite Fells, including Walna Scar Side, Brown Pike and Dow Crag. Then back to camping barn over Far Hill Crag. Eleven of us and only one cut hand and a 2 blisters between us. Not bad for saying most of us were pretty inexperienced at this sort of thing. Tucked into a nice little basic site at the back of the Church Inn at Torv now, off to see about hiring some kayaks.
