Forgive my ignorance Karl, but unless you were a cell phone mast spotter why would you want to know where they are.

Forgive my ignorance Karl, but unless you were a cell phone mast spotter why would you want to know where they are.

For the following reasons;
1) If you absolutely MUST have net access you can check before booking into a campsite if 3G is available.
2) If you have an external directional antenna for your 3G Mifi you know which direction to point it in.
3) If you have multiple 3G sims you can see which one is closest and most likely to give you a good signal.

I could probably think of others but these are enough I think

Oh I see. I use an old phone as a wifi dongle and if the phone has a signal I have wifi. Its a bit old fashioned but it works. Pointing it at a mast would not make much difference

and that is the 5331 without external antenna port if I am not mistaken.
