Either way it's always better to have heard twice than not at all.:thumb:

We had this unit in our last MH well the sat box anyway never used the dish, the sat box comes with both mains and 12v so really handy if wild camping.

I bought this but can't get it to work. The box connects up and all seems ok but ni signal.

The lnb might be broken. Has any one got any experience of the aldi kit who can advise?

Aldi sat

:Eeek:Hi I bought one of these last year.Tried to get it to work but no joy at all,so rang Aldis and they gave me the number to call. When I rang the number it was the supplier Ross &co,however they don't do repairs and referred me back to Aldis. On getting back to Aldis the best that they could do was to exchange it when new stock came in.That was in march 2012, last Wednesday phone call out of the blue it was Aldi ,message was -Sir would you like to fetch your Ross system in and exchange it.I thought that was a great bit of customer service after 15 months.Mind you I haven't tried this one yet.:thumb::thumb::thumb:

I bought one about 10 yrs ago from Maplin and try as I did could not get a signal-my mate took less than a minute to lock on then moved it telling me to retune.Half hour later with lots of coaching I did it ::bigsmile: Then it all came undone when mate moved it again zzzzzzzzz an hour later I got my money back from Maplin and lost all interest in sat systems::bigsmile:

Happy to waive the 'first post past the post' honours on this one if someone can tell me if the Aldi kit is likely to let me pick up BBC and ITV in France! Am toying with either this or getting a wifi antenna to watch terrestrial channels via the internet and FoxyProxy. Found the latter ok last year, but if the cheapo satellite does the same job, I'd give it a go.

I think that's the one I've mounted on my conservatory and have attached to my computer via an Aldi USB video grabber. Seem to do the job, though I don't think the dish would be big enough for use too far south of the Channel.
