Just a thought - just lately been getting into trying lots of different beers, mainly Bitters not Lager. One of my favourites at the moment is Hopping Hare brewed by Badger. Any recommendations to try?

Jaipur by Thornbridge brewery, fantastic beer.

It is worth buying the good beer guide as it helps you find the best pubs.

Britstops is another aid we use,

Happy drinking

Andy

VB an Aussie beer is my favourite but the stocks in the UK for some reason are hopeless.

A recent discovery is a Cypriot beer called Keo ( large bottle). Available at Tesco. Very nice I think.

I drink many others but the above are my favourites:thumb:

Our local Tesco has a good selection of bottled beers.
I quite like Tanglefoot and Fursty Ferret.
If in a Wadworth pub, I find a pint of draught Wadworth 6X goes down a treat.

Brisey.

I hate that stuff for some reason.

Sips his last cold Leffe ( sorry single e I now see ).

Maybe you can't take a beer with some taste in it ?

Mind you, I could accept it being Belgian as an excuse.

Grand.

I didn't know how much I needed that in this heat.

I don't know, what exactly is a Lager ? I thought it was too dark for lager.

Local ales Brimstage brewery Trappers hatPeerless IPA,,Liverpool Organic brewery Kitty Wilkinson,Cains ales,Black Sheep and Rigwelter (best tasted in the Tan Hill).
Always like to try a local brew. Belgian craft beers are only available in the immediate area around the brewery.

There are many micro breweries springing up around our area. All of the offerings so far tasted have been excellent. Unfortunately, many of these wonderful beers exceed my recommended daily intake of 2.2 units with just one pint. :roflmto:

A French campsite owner in Cahors last year kept passing me local beers. I think they were called Partisan.

His big mistake was asking me to remember at the end of the night what I had drunk:Doh:::bigsmile:

We often do an all inclusive week in Cyprus where Keo is on tap from 08:00 to 23:30 each day. I like Keo too. When I get fed up with beer then Aphrodite Cypriot wine is a good substitute. ::bigsmile:

Here are a few to try while you are in the New Forest at the weekend. Brewed in house at Red Shot.:drink:
Tom Tipple 4.8% ABV
The Red Shoot Brewery is situated in the beautiful Toms Lane which inspired this traditional IPA. It is created using Golding hops to give a citrus balance to the toffee and malt flavours, one to savour at any time of year.

Muddy Boot 4.2% ABV
A rich dark beer with a fine balance of traditional Golding hops. The Red Shoot toffee notes are enhanced by muscavado sugar to give it a full flavour with added notes of chocolate. An ideal beer to follow a bracing walk in the forest.

New Forest Gold 3.8% ABV
This gold coloured refreshing beer uses Challenger hops to give it a restrained citrus note balanced by the characteristic toffee notes of the brewery. It is a light beer that can been joyed at any time of year!

Red White & Brew 4.0% ABV
Brewed in celebration of the Royal Wedding and all things British; Red, White and Brew is a powerfully hopped goldenale with a zesty hoppy nose. The initial fresh, cleansing palate develops into a strong powerful bitterness, a sorbet of beers and a real thirst quencher..
