We have a German Hymer and were wondering if anyone can help us please....

Would the hookup socket on the campervan have the same polarity as the hookup points on campsites / aires in France?

Thanks in advance!
Val

p.s. We are having our hopefully final inspection this week to get it registered here, Yippee!

There are two popular connectors, the Euro domestic one and the "proper" industrial 3 pin as used here. You need one lead and one adaptor.

Hi thanks for your speedy reply....

Should've explained, it didn't come with a cable but we have been given a lead. However, the campsite end is just bare wires, so we bought the campsite friendly French plug and not sure now the way to wire it up!

If that is your skill level it would be foolish for anyone to advise you on line.

Mind you, you could get a plonker to do it for you over there, so the best advice is find an electrician.

Unlike Mr Bond, you only live once.
