Hi Funsters,

Soon to leave France heading towards Lake Como or Lake Garda in N Italy.

Anyone know of any really good sites in this region?

As you can see from our blog we are doing nicely so far. http://www.frankhanna.com/blog/

Thanks in anticipation.

Just had a look at your blog, really enjoyed it, brings back some good memories, if you are anywhere near the Verdon George well worth a look and a couple of camp sites in the middle of it.

We stayed at Lake Garda 'Campsite Bandolina' arguably the closest campsite to the lake, lovely bike rides along the front to Bandolina town, lots of good restaurants some quality shops...having said that, ASCI has many recommended campsites around GARDA:Cool:

Camping butterfly at garda had been recommended to us ad being lovely

Brilliant site, trouble is it's so popular you need to book.

Peschiera is also brilliant. It's got the lake, the trains ( to Milan, Verona, Venice ) and the wonderful boats.

We're currently in Luxembourg making our way to Italy via Lucerne will be making our way towards como

We've been in Como before MH days. Beautiful. I'll be interested in MH opportunities there.

My recollection is "posh" compared to Maggiore and Garda.

Como is a lake divided. To the east it's Lake Lecco where the magnificent Moto Guzzi factory and museum is.

To the west is Como, the home of Volta, surely one of the most important people in history.

Its on the Route Napoleon, hubby says you may have missed it, If you goggle it could be one for the future, one of the most spectacular places ], think I must be getting older  and getting my destinations muddled up.
