We've been having a water-themed day.
A walk down the beach in the morning, skimming stones, then back to the van to get ready for the swimming pool.

Next, I decided to fill the fresh water tanks.
Poured a glass of wine, dropped in an ice cube, and completely forgot about the tanks filling.

What I made today was a motorhome water feature: a pipe blew off the tanks and we watched 350 litres of water running through the belly lockers and cascading down off the chassis!

All good clean fun ::bigsmile:

Tidied garden this morning, wrote my next Diamond Dave column, took Roary the MX5 out for a 25 mile blast with No 1 daughter in co pilot seat and made us both smile, been to pub and made a mess of several pints, back home and made a big roast pork dinner disappear, now sitting in front of electric fish tank with some more beer relaxing.

Next weekend is all about motorsport and our No 2 daughter's birthday.

18 years s Motorhome (33years caravans)
Not so much what I made more what I unmade, daughters canopy had come down with all the snow and hanging dangerously across the back of her house, now both only been 5 ft nothing women and Ed with a bad back, we thought we would give it a go,
Well after looking scratching our heads then worked out what to do, screws unscrewed hammer out climbing ladders and after a full afternoon we had got it nearly all safe.

Then to get the Brackets down Eddie could not be kept still any longer so came and finished what we could not reach.
A challange but quite proud of ours selves

We had to move a fair bit of snow as well to get to it as If the pictures come out you can see, and yes it is this week end after all the snow is supposed to have gone.

Canopy all gone and most of the snow cleared to the bottom of the garden now.

Gosh you have still got a lot of snow Carol, its been quite mild today here. We were in the Peak district yesterday and although there was still snow it was warm.
We even bought an ice cream at Burbage Bridge on our way back to Wakefield.

Whats with the Turkish Evil Eye Bev? Is it to ward off the neighbours? :ROFLMAO: Normally hung inside vehicles to protect the driver from accidents. Inter city coaches in Turkey often travel through the night to avoid the heat of the day, where the lucky eyes are often the size of dinner plates.
:ROFLMAO:

Turkish airlines also sport the 'nazar' just in case

Is it not an evil eye to soak up all the nastys?

Tiny nazar's the size of a match head are often pinned on to baby's clothing when they are in pushchairs :Eeek:
Thats how we found out about it. When Jacob was first born our Greek friends ( that live over here ) pinned a gold one with a glass eye , on his clothing in hospital when they visited.
You are supposed to keep it on until the child is christened .
Needless to say its still on his vest :ROFLMAO::winky:

Its to ward off evil spirits as far as the Greeks are concerned.
Each time we go to Greece Ralph buys one. We have them all over the place.:ROFLMAO:

We still have one somewhere that we was given by a good friend we sometimes visit in Corfu.

Apparently they work if you are given one, but not if you buy one ( I guess what they are saying is you cannot ward off evil with money, which is proly true ! )
