I would like to pre-plan some routes at home on my computer and then get these routes on to my Tomtom. Does anyone know a way of doing this ?

easy....download TomTom home to your PC.

on the opening page there is a download button on the right hand side.

http://www.tomtom.com/services/service.php?id=16

Note: The following navigation devices do not connect to HOME: GO 800/1000/2000 series, GO LIVE Top Gear edition, Via series, Start 20 series, Start 60, Blue&Me TomTom 2 LIVE, Sony XNV, TomTom Connect.

Go to tomtom.com/getstarted to download the MyTomTom support application.

Tyre basic (free) will do it for you Link Removed
It has a send to tom tom button
BUT once sent to your tom tom
Beware
Last time i used it, a while back, it did not like you going of route, if you did say 50 miles into the trip it would try to get you back to the start again, an absolutely useless traight so i hope the fixed it

Just looked at Tyre and it's PC only:Sad: will search for another .itn based app that works on a Mac.

This looks like a possible solution.

You did say PC!!

Just run Parallels on your Mac and then Win whatever with that. You can use all PC applications then

You're right I should have said Mac. Going to see if this ITNGen works, tried it last night and it seemed OK but it needs a full test.
