I think I have an airlock in the hot water system. The hot tap runs for approx 1 minute and then splutters and I can hear the air bubbling in the tank. Any advice much appreciated.

We had that problem. I laid the shower hose on the shower floor and turned all the taps on. That cured it.

Another trick is to turn all taps off but one and blow down it. Easiest is take shower head off easier to blow down then. :thumb:

It is also worth mentioning that it can take SEVERAL minutes of running the tap(s) to get the air out..

If it still does it afterwards, it COULD be some grit/filngs in the in-line filter for the inlet pipe under the sink - we had a similar problem with our kitchen tap (although it was the cold tap) and as it was thought to be a problem with the tap itself, when the pipes were disconnected to fit the new one the filter was found to contain some metal filings which had been caught in it as the system can't have been cleaned out after it was fitted, once they were removed it worked fine.:thumb:
