Yes genuine Adobe software for free. Not just photoshop.

Adobe - CS2 Downloads

This takes you to the Adobe site where they made a monumental fork vertical!

They have not only published the serial number for this no longer supported version of their complete suite, they have also published all the software download links.

With a little cunning this will install and run on Windows 7!

how to install

1. Right-click each file (.exe file)
2. Select Properties then go to the Compatibility tab.
3. Put a check on the “Run this program in compatibility mode for” then select the previous OS which do you think it worked. For your case select Windows XP with Service Pack 3
4. Then under Privilege Level, place a check on “Run this program as administrator”
5. Click Apply then OK.

ignore disk 1 (we will come back to this)

Click disk 2 - but change the Save Files in folder destination to
C:\Creative Suite CS2\Adobe Creative Suite 2.0\

be default it goes to the wrong folder of C:\Creative Suite\Adobe Creative Suite 2.0\ - This later brings up an error of insert disk 2.

If it says Unable to create the specified output folder! - just click OK

Click Next

---------------------
Click Disk 3 - making sure the address is C:\Creative Suite CS2

Click Next

--------------

Install the Extra Files if you want to

--------------

Now Click Disk 1 - Destionation folder - C:\Creative Suite CS2
Ignore Quicktime 6 message
Accept Agreement
Enter Serial - 1130-1414-7569-4457-6613-5551
Now you need to change the location as C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe is not valid
change it to C:\Progra~2\Adobe

If the next button stays greyed out, click back then go forward with the next button. All should now be good

Install the entire suite or just the components you require.

Select Do not Register on drop down on the registration page

There you go, genuine, free Adobe software, Adobe are saying they will keep these downloads open as they do not want people to download the programs by torrents only to find they are full of trojans and spyware that hackers have put in to get your details! So stay safe, download from Adobe!

Whoa - dont go there

:shout: My pc told me not to go there as it was a potentially dangerous site!

I did as I was told and haven't tried to install this. Shouldn't each copy of the software have its own serial number?

Would have loved photoshop for free but hey ho

the PC sees it as a potentially dangerous site because it contains software for downloads. Adobe would not have a dodgy site. The reason for the same serial number is that it is an old version that adobe have virtually made freeware to prevent downloads from dodgy utorrent sites.
Should any of the more experienced IT guys find a real problem with the site I'm sure they will let us know toot sweet.

This looks genuine. There is a lot of software on here, but they are the old versions, no longer supported . They may - or may not - run on modern platforms.

Give them a try if you want, it is not a dodgy site.

eg elements is V5. This was designed, I think, for XP. There was a patch for vista. Whether it works with windows 7 or 8 I dont know. However I do know it created a problem when running alongside Chrome on Vista.

Personally if I had gone to the trouble to get a new operating system, eg Windows 7 or 8, I don't think I'd want to run software this old.

If you want free photo editing software try GIMP.

Hi Roger

Found this on Adobe Usa website:

Update on CS2 and Acrobat 7 Activation Servers
Posted by Adobe Corporate Communications on January 7, 2013 4:05 PM in Creatives, Digital Media

Effective December 13, Adobe disabled the activation server for CS2 products and Acrobat 7 because of a technical glitch. These products were released over 7 years ago and do not run on many modern operating systems. But to ensure that any customers activating those old versions can continue to use their software, we issued a serial number directly to those customers. While this might be interpreted as Adobe giving away software for free, we did it to help our customers.

So nothing wrong with this software

Regards
Paul

to be honest I already have applications to suit my needs, the op does include some tip to get these programs running in windows7 for anyone wanting to give it a go. Quite safe the link it to the adobe site with no detours. so have a play you can always uninstal if you don't like it. If you do like it then you can always upgrade to the new version.

cheers.. nice find :thumb:

Denise as long as the URL is indeed adobe.com and not some other site your computer has taken you off to then yes it is safe.

Thanks Roger,
I downloaded Photoshop CS2, tried it out and it works fine.
I have been using PS CS for years now (I have a copy that requires no sn). CS2 doesn't seem a lot different, just snazzier looking but I 'll try it some more and see. They do say they bring out new versions so you spend out more! So far I've never paid for it (shhh!)
I use it for more than just playing with photos.
