I'm a newbie!
Hi, I'm a newbie from Devon.

I've bought a Adria motorhome and am looking forward to touring the UK in August next year!

I'm really interested in some suggestions to stay in Scotland as would like to do Edinburgh, Stirling and Loch Ness.

Thanks

Hi and Welcome!!

We had a week in Scotland last year and found some really nice sites - I'll look them up when I get home (if I remember!) and PM you.

Hi and welcome (another from the Isle of Wight) to the best forum for fun and information.

Whenever we go to Scotland, at least every other year, we stay at Witches Craig Caravan Park, Blairlogie, Stirling, Scotland, FK9 5PX

Telephone 01786 474 947 Email info@witchescraig.co.uk

One year we finished up having a 6 week two-centre Scottish experience.

Witches Craig - CC Silverbank (Banchory) and then back to Witches Craig.

Possibly sad but a wonderful holiday.

If at Witches you should go to Alva where the Mill's scones are to 'die for'!

Welcome to another Devon dweller.

We're planning on going to Edinburgh in May and have found some nice CLs outside of the city (one at Roslin) - only you need to be a member of the Caravan Club.
A few years ago we stayed at a decent campsite on the edge of Inverness not far from Bught Park and was only a short walk to the River Ness and a very pleasant walk into town. There are a few campsite by the Loch, but I don't believe they're at all cheap. Stirling I know nothing about for camping, but there's bound to be something. You could do worse than to have a look on UK Campsites - http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/. Then there's the Scottish Camping Guide, which may be of use - http://www.scottishcampingguide.com/index.php

Hope this is of help.

Hi & welcome aboard:Cool:
I'll second phil1946's recommendation of Witches Craig for Sterling. Excellent site.
For Edinburgh we've enjoyed a couple of stays at the CC site which is good if only for the minibus service that runs from the site to and from the city.

We did Scotland last August and had a great time but Loch Ness at that time of year should be renamed Loch Midge:cry::cry:
