I have a Kippor Genny (well we can,t all afford a Honda)

While it is not that noisey, is there any simple way of making it quieter

Chris,

I think it was at the first Chester food and drink meeting someone had built an insulated box (collapsible) around their genny with an exhaust outlet. It certainly did make it considerably quieter as the owner started it one day outside of the box.

Hymers are known for their solid construction and thick walls.
You could run your genny inside your van and enjoy the peace and quiet outside with everyone else!!:roflmto:

Hopfully someone will be along with a sensible answer soon!:thumb:

A chap in a club I used to rally with had his on a long lead and just used it a long way from where people were parked. Point the exhaust away from the vans, that makes a big difference.:thumb:

we used to run ours in a canvas/collapsable dog kennel thing----it has vented panels so we could allow it to breathe-----also kept it dry when raining:thumb:-------------------you could put more sound deadening over it, like a blanket-----just make sure it gets enough air::bigsmile:------stear the exhaust away from any close vans-------if it's possible, put it at the end of a long extension lead away from everyone BUT LOCK IT to a tree or something solid:shout:
We now have a little Honda, but still very aware of the noise:Blush:

Put Rammstein on your powerful stereo system...

Press "Play".

Turn up the volume...

They won't be disturbed by your generator any more...
