Sorted, no problems, well, OK, a bit of wind drag.

What size solar panel and inverter do you use to move that Brian?

Astra 2F now in position. Signal reports should start coming in over the next few days, not that it will affect your dish

Intertesting reception reports coming in from a test signal on 2F....

Lower signal levels than before in east Europe, and scandinavia, portugal, italy and south west Spain.

Looking at the various reports this moring it looks like France, west Germany, and north east and eastern Spain looks good for 80cm dishes.

Move east of say Munich, south east of Austria, and south west of Benidorm, then larger dishes are required.

Where I am (Valencia) no change and still coming in on an 80cm dish.
South towards Alicante and Torrevieja 1m gets no signal.
Marbella 1.25m gets no signal.

So you will find that, when they do move from 1n to 2f, reception of your main UK channels (BBC ITV C4 and Fives) will change compared to what it is like this year.

This is only one test frequency, and it may change prior to full channel migration!

Looks like we will all be around Valencia. :winky::ROFLMAO:

When at Camping Marjal this year, we had channel 4 and most important 5 so Jane can watch neighbours on a 80cm dish, our Smart car was parked behind the dish.
We went out in the car, and when we came back no signal, messed about with it for a while still no luck, Jane said I will move the car.
 Yeh OK , she said watch the screen and tell me when it comes on.
And sure enough it worked, marked the spot of the tyres and TV for the next 3 weeks. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Only time will tell, lets hope it gets better. :thumb: Bob.

Bloody hell, that is a massive reduction in signal availability..
March this year we got reasonable signal strength on the main channels right down at Cadiz with the 60cm dish....

Does this mean that all sat boxes will have to be retuned or even worse change. Mine has to be changed as it was emitting smoke.

Thanks for that Steve, I will keep an eye on it, don't like the bit about him being flooded.

If you have a reasonable internet connection try www.filmon.com, there are probably others but this is quite good.:thumb:

The rumoured date for migration from 1n to 2f was the 23rd-26th Nov.
This has passed, with no migration.
The next dates being rumoured are 1st week in December.

but prediction is that small dishes that were geting BBC, ITC etc down in Spain will suffer..
Depends where in Spain you are..... obviously the north eas of spain will be fine....
Based on the one frequency on 2F:
I am receiving this "test" signal fine on my 80cm dish - although a 1m dish may be better.
A 1m dish in Barcelona is getting the "test" signal.
So some areas are fine on "small dishes" - assuming the delay for the migration is not to scupper this rececption :-(
In the CDS, people with 1.25m dishes are no longer getting the "test" signal - but 1.8ms are.
Same in Italy, people with 1.25m dishes are no longer getting the "test" signal

And for internet access, there are some other options: Apply TV, or XBMC software.

Assuming I'm looking in the right place the footprint for 2f shows it appears to cover the Faroes better than we get at the moment. I'm on a 1.25m dish and get reasonable reception unless it's foggy. I've missed a few games when the signal drops.
