The biggest car park in Spain.
.

With electric, water, grey waste disposal.TV point on every pitch.
An excellent restaurant on site.
A small supermarket,that in March,was improving it's stock daily.
A state of the art gym and spa.
Doctor and hairdresser on site.
Car hire on site.
Great cycling locally.
Various eateries and bars within cycling distance-both Spanish,English and Scottish.
Catral-nearest town is worth a visit,or two.
Apart from that-nothing ::bigsmile: we'll be there beginning of Jan for a few weeks, meeting up with an Aussie couple we met there in March.

Mike.

stop over

stopped over for a few days in April on way home Much too big a site and very empty but I'm sure the Spanish fill it in the summer.
A car is needed if staying there for a long period

Just left Marjel yesterday so big,all the facilities are fantastic have never seen anything like it and we have been motorhoming over twenty years, don't suit us but for younger families fantastic.Down in the costa del sol now in a site we have been coming to for years, suits us the weather is better.Marjel have a first anaversary offer on just now, don't know how long for 11 euros a night plus electricity 80 cents in our case. Not for us Marjel but boy am I glad I saw it. PRESTO

I was at Marjal for three months in January to March, went again in October and going again in January. The campsite is big but when you settle in it is as though you are in a small community. We have dutch and belgian neighbours next to us and behind us are two groups who have been there since it opened (both English and have been there since 11.11.11).
The area has loads of small villages and having a bike helps.
Lots of varied eateries locally but you do have to get out and find them. It is cheaper than staying on the Costas.

Marjal.

We went in March stayed just over two weeks, paid for larger pitch on the side, though by motorway, you didn't notice it after a bit but it did give you a bit of privacy. Huge pitch, lovely facilities, but you need to be reasonabley mobile, Pete found it a strain to walk up to the facilities which were excellent. You need transport to get off site. When the Spanish arrive - Easter and National caravan rally we found it a bit over whelming. We were supposed to stay two months.
Would go again if in area, Staff were very helpful and every where very clean
Regards.

Thanks Brian, I think that has probly put me off for life:cry: looks orrible like that don't it?

It might get a touch better when the trees grow. In the right place, near some exciting places it would be OK.

But for the chosen purpose, a FUN meet at bargain prices, it was a serious success just because of the FUN people who put in such an effort to make it a success. We all know who they are. And we were blessed with exceptional weather.
