Normally I would recommend Maxview, I used to distribute them within the trade.
BUT the dome ranges are fairly new and it took them a LONG time to get their act together to bringing them to market..
The Roadpro has been out a long time and would get my vote..
No experience on using either.. I'm a cheapskate and dont go in for expensive self tracking dishes, rather fiddle and point it myself....:thumb:

Hi Andy, in response to your PM I'll answer here. I can't give you an evaluation of the Roadpro against the Maxview domes because I've never had any experience of the Maxview. I have however fitted plenty of Roadpro (formerly Camos) domes and had very little in the way of comebacks with them, even when there have been issues they have mostly been caused by the end users misunderstanding the equipment. In over five years of selling and fitting them I think I've had to replace one LNB. Don't forget that when fitted by a Roadpro approved dealer they have a five year warranty.

Ha Ha Peter, you're such a card LOL.

I have got a Maxview dome thingy.

No complaints at all, simple to use and if there is a signal it will find it.

Not had any experience of the Roadpro sorry.

Roadpro's website shows Knowe Park Caravans in Livingston as a dealer specialising in their satellite systems.

https://www.roadpro.co.uk/retail/dealers.aspx

I have had a Camos (suplied by Roadpro and fitted by Dave Newell) for three years and am very happy with it. When Camos changed their models about 18 months ago, Roadpro continued selling the original version, with some improvements, under their own brand name.

Purely personal view.........

Roadpro are overpriced but good kit.. which is available from places such as Dave at the proper price

Maxview stuff is lower end of the market ( and like another poster I used to have an account with them.. In fact I had an account with them dating back to just after the time Clarkey and Jackman split ( must have been around 1971 ) Was with them for about 12 years.. A good company to work with but as said, the kit tends to be lower end of the market

My dear wife has just pointed out to me that we have neither a Maxview nor a Roadpro:Doh:

Sorry - we have a Trackvision fitted by Vanbitz

Hi Andy, no they don't include the Sikaflex anymore. If you purchase and fit yourself you only get two years warranty. If you are prepared to travel there is a campsite 400 yds from my workshop and there's lots to see and do in the area, why not make a short break of it? We can even give you free tickets to the Ironbridge Gorge Museums :)
