Hi.

We are travelling to Switzerland in May and wondering if it would be best to book

campsites in advance or just turn up and hope for the best.

I would be grateful for any advice.

Thankyou

hi Sue,
i would think, in may, just turn up.

i'm sure the swiss hol period would be the same as the rest of europe (july and august) but if you cant get on a site, just move to the next one.

in my mind the idea of a motorhome is to go where you want, when you want and not have times to stick to.

enjoy your swiss trip.

john.

Booking ahead

Hi

It is also worth checking your diary for international public holidays etc that might cause a sudden rise in business at campsites.

Russell

I will add that irrespective of time of year, I book in,simply because I like to stay at tried and tested sites - and these are generally busy.

We had no problems last May and had a good choice of pitches and did not book in advance.:thumb:
