Since purchasing my own Kindle 3G I have subscribed to the Kindle Daily Deal, whereby users are offered a heavily discounted book each day....for one day only. In all honesty I have availed myself of very few of these titles due in the main to either the obscurity of the author (short sighted of me, I know) or a genre in which I am not interested.

The daily offer today carries this rider "Please note this book is only available on Kindle Fire, Kindle Fire HD, Kindle for iPad and Kindle for Android".

So, even if I wished to buy this offering, I would not be able to do so, owning only a 3G. Is this an ominous sign of things to come? Will this be applied, gradually, to all Kindle books in the future forcing the purchase of other readers in the growing Kindle range ? Or, am I being paranoid?

Regards, Bryan

Or is it purely technical, like colour ?

No idea Brian, no such indication given on web site... only the rider. Guess your suggestion is a possibility, lets call it paranoia then :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:: Or is it ?

strange how the price of a basic wifi kindle is £69 the keyboard version with 3g is £149 and the paperwhite 3g is £169 yet the all singing / dancing fire hd is £159.

i think its all to do with competition from the android / apple tablets.

then there is the Nook which is probably another story.

Why does amazon charge more to let you download a mp3 album ,than buying a CD and having posted of the same item?
I would have a computer would have done all the work on a MP3 sale !
