Hi all,

We are after some external screens, mainly to combat condensation on the cab windows as the temperature drops.

We are not planning on trips to -15, Alps etc locations,
just a bit chilly -5 to -10 UK.

any recommendations please,

Cheers,
2dogs

I really don't recall, I do recall purchasing their demo screens which saved a few bob and when they arrived they were brand new.

I do believe that they're fairly dear £200 ish or so, but not certain.:thumb:

They are very good but strangely do come up for sale very often. Not sure why, got mine 2nd hand took only a couple months to find one , so I would not go for new one too costly for what it is

Went for a TaylorMade as theirs also covered the engine inlet at the bottom of the screen.

I got the Taylormade long line also, as stated covers the bonnet grilles and also has magnets in the side window covers which keeps them nice and tight against the doors....£120 new:thumb:

Hi funsters,
still the best........
theoriginal Silver Screen from a small firm in Yorkshire.
Several options available (fold down, fold up if required, and privacy screen enabling you to look out, but not vice versa)
Bought mine 10 months ago (for a Ducato) at a cost of £150.
Works like a dream, and so easy to put on, and take off.
Comes with linen carry case for storage.
Hope this helps .....

We will be selling our Silver Screen Paragons [the ones with drop down panel] in January when we change vans from 2011 Ducato to a Mercedes base. Will only have been used for about 4 or 5 weeks in total as the van is garaged when not in use please PM me if interested.

silverscreens the original and better build quality and thicker so my choice. i know of sets 10+ years old and still in regular use

taylormade cheaper knock off copy, thinner and the 2 sets ive had over the years have been badly made as have others ive seen. last a couple of years before piping round the edge and joints start seperating. I returned one faulty set at a show and was quickly ushered away from the paying public and given a refund provided I agree to be quiet

sorry forgot to say, with the silverscreens. you can have an optional velcro in panel that you can see through in daylight looking out but keeps the sun off for the dogs

I made up a set of internal secondary screens for side windows and skylights. I used silver bubble wrap type insulation and aluminium tape on the edges. they make a good difference in sub zero temperatures. when not in use, they weigh next to nothing and pack away flat in the overcab

wouldnt want it outside though, and the silverscreens stand up well in all weather

I have seen the ad Pappajohn, looks good value as long as it is just fading,
nothing wrong with a bit of fading (you want to see the state of my jeans::bigsmile:)
