Sikaflex adhesive...once cured it will not come unstuck.

by weight bearing i assume you mean vertically, as in standing on the roof ?.

if so then 12mm or 15mm will do the job with less weight.

many many years! since I was a kid
if on the roof surely 4mm aluminium chequer plate bonded down with sikaflex would be the best option. 4x4 converters who prep trucks for overland adventures use 4mm ali for exactly the same reasons, its lighter, just as strong and doesnt rot like plywood

dont forget though that the weight of any board has to be taken of the load allowance and any weight that high up will affect the road handling. the lower the load the lower the centre of gravity

as terry says, leave for 24hrs or more before putting any stress on it.

It 'skins' in a short time but curing takes longer.
hi seem to have mislead you i want to have vertical boards separating driver bulkhead from back area of camper , which will need roof batons to secure. On this partition i want to attach two small cupboards
sorry for the confusion..............bruce

not misleading at all Bruce, i knew you meant vertical boards.....it was the 'load bearing' part I misunderstood and didn't know about the cupboards.

Sikaflex will stick the roof batons like sh*t to the proverbial blanket
