We feel very privileged that two (4) Funsters have gone out of their way to come and see us in St.Cyr.
It was great to welcome Jill & Paul last Saturday & Sunday, and to give them an impromptu experience of Norman village life!
And today we have met Norman & Sue who are wending their way back to Calais. They are calling back tomorrow, for lunch, and hopefully, weather permitting, a tour of the village - and its hotspots ::bigsmile:...

It's cool to be able to put names to faces and we hope to meet many more Funsters in the future - coffee, tea, Calva, Pommeau in abundance, loos behind the church, and food (as long as SWMBO's in a cooking mood!) :ROFLMAO:

Plenty of safe parking on the square - at least you'll sleep well from just after midnight (12 dongs, twice, from churchbells) till 7am when the Angélus rings (about 143 dongs)... or for the fainter-hearted, plenty of space just outside the village at our other property, next to the (haunted) house... :thumb:

Thanks again for your hospitality Peter. I can vouch that we slept for 55 mins every hour

Seriously, Caroline made a mean lamb stew and the selection of local booze you produced was excellent. We will definitely call in again (if you'll have us!).

Ps how did Daniel like the shirt?

Daniel is like a kid with a new toy! He says 'Vive le Pays-de-Galles!' (repeatedly) ::bigsmile:

Sitting here in Montreuil I'm finding more than one St Cyr in Normandie ::bigsmile:
Are you near Valognes ?

Mike.

Nope, we're in St.Cyr-du-Bailleul, 50720, near Barenton - off the St.Hilaire-du-Harcouet/Domfront road :thumb:

Directly south of Caen, south-east of Valognes... about 370k from Montreuil-sur-mer
