A small book fell from an overhead cupboard and punctured the table beneath.
The table surface appears to be constructed of a formica type plastic material over a honeycomb cardboard base, presumably to save weight.
The hole is approximately 1/2" long by 1/4" deep.
Any sensible suggestions would be welcome on the material to fill the hole to maintain a firm surface. If possible a glossy finish to the infill would be a bonus.
Many thanks.
