Ok, This is the first event option Nikki and I are offering for New Year, Now I am informed that I have New Year off, I wanted to put something spectacular and different on for the New Year period bearing in mind the world will end at the end of 2012.

This is what is on offer ---- but this time at this moment I need an expression of interest due to the amount it could end up costing me personally if no one turns up.

New Year at the Races- Uttoxeter Race Course to be exact, right in the middle of the Country making it accessible to nearly everyone. All on hard standing at the Caravan Club site which will be closed and exclusive to us. There will be no Electric hook up but emergency Electric Charging will be organised.

There will be the exclusive use of a Hall facility for ourselves to use for a function over the rally period which is included in the cost (and not cheap).

This will include a New Years Buffet that we would sort out our selves and we could take our own beer/orange juice.

On New Years Eve there is a spectacular Racing event with other things going on. Tickets For this event are included by the way of a badge at £18 per Adult but Children are free. If you were to come, the tickets for racing are compulsory as you can not get out that day. They include a centre course ticket giving superb access to the rumbling of hooves passing a few feet away.

The Rally would Start on the Friday and finish on the Tuesday 1st although if you wished to stay an additional night that could be sorted.

Unfortunately you can not come for 1 night and to make it cost effective Sat- Tues would be a minimum.

The breakdown of cost would be as follows.

For a Couple utilising all 4 nights including spending a fantastic day at the races, having a party with Funsters on New years eve the cost will be

£87.20
For a single funster
£69.20
oh and a sausage roll or similar for the buffet

Its a Package Deal including VAT

What I need to know now is as quickly as possible,

Would you like to join in?

A firmer commitment will be sought in a week or two, and a declaration of a deposit for the first time ever will be sought.

Before I firm it up in to the calender I would appreciate a few bumps to get it seen and also spread the word.

RV's are welcome at this event although I have a limit on how many.

Ill get the ball rolling though

Hi Paul & Nikki,

We definitely would be interested, but with Rita working in a pharmacy, (next to a doctors surgery), she won't know about Mon 31st and Weds 2nd until her employer makes a decision over festive opening times/hours.

Hopefully we'll know more in a couple of weeks or so.

Regards,

Jock & Rita.

You mention that the racing event is free for kids but does that extend to the camping fee as well?

i.e. £87.20 for a couple/family?

And can I just offer one of these: :thumb:
You two are thinking up some fantastic meets!

We're in Somerset at the moment, unfortunately!

You'll just have to pop in to the clubhouse instead.
They have an extensive range of cold drinks, too. ::bigsmile:

Ok, guys, looks like we have enough of an interest to make this happen- Still a little bit of a risk until we get at least 20 confirmed and I have set the limit to 25.

So be quick you wraiths and strays to secure a place.

I will transfer this list on to a New thread tomorrow - fully confirming and committing the First Ever Motorhome Fun GEE GEE RACING MEET taking it from an 20-1 outsider to a 11-2 on :thumb:

Gonna be a whole lotta fun in traditional fun fashion;. :Eeek:

Dogs are welcome by the way.

Thank you Baz, that is a really good question. I do not have the answer tonight but will check it out with the event's person tomorrow and feed straight back to you. I don't think it will be a problem because my understanding is the Horses will be running right past your Motorhome. There are different areas that you can go in too.

There is a lot happening over the race meet with hog roasts etc so I will check out the whole thing Baz.

one further thing Baz is I may be in a position to arrange for a couple of electric hook ups for our disabled guests that have a genuine need for electric but again will confirm tomorrow.
