Well we had a ball at the last show rally of the year. We had a great pitch right next to the showground so it took just a few seconds to get into the show, rather than the half mile we had to traipse last year. Mind you, I think they just wanted us to be well away from the main entertainment tent after our laughter last year was interfering with Joe Pasquale's squeaky act.
We had around 55 vans at the show, the vast majority arrived on Thursday, and we erected our event shelters x4 (The Lincoln Eden Project) By Friday evening all the Funsters had arrived in Lincoln and that evening the Eden project was busy with Funsters, we finished around 12:30am with only one shout from security to keep the laughter down.
Most spent a sunny Saturday at the show and then rushed back for a Cheese and Wine party at 5pm, we started in the Sun but as it got colder were soon in the tent and Musical Funsters took it in turns to entertain everyone, it was fantastic. Mike and Suggy took turns to sing and play as they showed off their singing voices as well as skills with their guitars:thumb: Then it was SteveandDenises turn and they surprised everyone when they produced a piano accordian and the sing song started:Cool: It really was a good night:thumb:
Sunday Morning we had the Bacon and Mushroom baps and those that weren't driving a glass or two of Bucks fizz. (sorry you weren't there Champers) For us a perfect end to the weekend except When we left last night it seemed most Funsters were still there, so I'm sure the fun continued through Sunday evening.
Big thanks must go to Brian and Pam (Brisey and Pamalaar) who ensured everyone got a warm welcome and a good pitch. Thanks to our musicians and all those ladies and gents that helped with the food, drinks and tentage etc. Thanks also to Nigel and Pamala who kindly loaned us two event shelters doubling the size of the Funsters Arms. :thumb: A special thanks to all those Funsters that turned up to have fun, despite the weather, it was a smile fest- Thanks
