Well that`s our 13th year & still loving it.
I was browsing the internet for a second hand Honda VFR750, narrowed it down to a couple of likely machines, then just when I thought I had made my mind up I came across one that just took my eye.
A quick phone call and sensible chat and the next morning I`m on the train to Goole, well 3 trains actually and this is what I rode home on.

Thats a proper machine that! Trouble is everytime I see a good looking bike I want to go and get myself another one, i have resisted the urge for twenty years now, my last toy was a CBR 600F but it got me into soooo much trouble, still i was only in my mid twenties then!

Thanks for that, the VFR750 is a fantastic bike, it certainly set the standard for the other bike manufactures, haven`t read a bad review of this machine.
It`s popularity certainly rocketed after Rob Haslam rode a standard VFR750 to third place in 1986 on a soaking wet track in the transatlantic challange race.

Go on don`t resist the urge any longer the VFR750 is a lot of bike for what you can pick them up for.:thumb:

I was browsing the internet for a second hand Honda VFR750,

Awesome.

Just the same as the one I sold 2 years ago because it was getting too heavy for me. Well we got to Rome and southern Spain on it, there's your challenge should you choose to accept it. Awesome bike, I once held it dead on 200 with two of us on board through France.

Park here......

my last toy was a CBR 600F

We went out to PX the Fazer 600 ( poor for pillion ) for a comfier new CBR600 but saw an older VFR750 sat in the dealers. One ride and that was it. Never regretted it, though buying a MH was the killer, no more long trips and they are a big bike on A roads. After I was seriously embarrassed by an SV650 on the glorious twisties through Alstom I decided small would be good for what I needed a bike for now.

I was right. I've had a huge amount of different fun on B roads where the weight and lock on the VFR would have worried me.

It's time a FUN Bikers meet was organised, next year anyway.

Anyway, you are infected, there is no cure, get out there and buy something.
