In a couple of weeks time I will be heading from Carnyvick RV site in Cornwall to Hidden Valley site near Ilfracombe, Devon.

As I have a RV, is the A39 from Wadebridge up to Barnstable a reasonable road or would I be better going back up A30 to Okehampton and then A386 to Barnstable.

Any thoughts or advice welcome

Hi Mo,

Yeh most probably. Headed to Exeter Racecourse. Wasn't you that cut me up then ?:ROFLMAO:

Now at Deer Park, Dartmouth for a week. Lovely spot and the sun is shining.

Pub is offering curry & pint tonight for £8.50. Heaven :thumb:

A39 will be fine for you, gets a bit twisty approaching Clovelly area but
if the big trucks can do it you should be fine

Cheers

Thanks for that.

Big trucks dont worry about their mirrors as much as me though:Eeek:
It's when the hedges are right on the road edge its a problem as my mirror sticks out about 9 inches beyond the side of vehicle so cant get right in to the kerb.

As I have already found out they are expensive to replace.

high trucks used it alot at one time .as we couldnt get under the bridge on goss moor . just went up to camelford and carried on . made a nice scenic day out .
with the new victoria by pass the black bridge isnt a problem anymore .in theory. ha ha .

cant you pull the mirrors back or push them forward and still see . have to do that on loads of trucks . they dont all just have to stick out like big ears .

No, not very well as they ratchet when in correct spot.

Had to today though when met a double decker bus coming the other way on the narrowest bit of road just out of Dartmouth :whatthe:
