FREE Road Trip Lite app MPG calculator
Allows you to enter at each fuel stop:
Date of fill, odometer reading, cost of fuel per litre, amount of litres bought
Then it displays detailed graph of average overall mpg, mpg since last fill up, mileage since last fill, cost per mile, litres used etc
Upgrading to the full version enables you to keep track of more than one vehicle.

Several also available for the Blackberry Playbook from the BB app store.. I've tried a few and the best one was called 'Mileage' 2.2.6 by SAapps

It supports multiple cars and both imperial and metric .. has charts and statistics which can be exported..

for Android i use fuel friend lite , seams it is the same , great little app and has all my fuel details stored on it from when i installed in September 2010

I've been using the free "Fuel Log" on Android for a while - it's great.

It fits the 5th Gear description exactly - spooky.
