You might want to check out the Tissington Trail. It runs between Ashbourne and Buxton in the Peak District.

There are several sites within reach of it but can't comment on them as not used any.

Hi the trail is accessed from the entrance road as you enter the site also you can walk into Ashbourne along the trail and through the tunnel a nice site with a pub and micro brewery they have half price pitches in October.

Brilliant thanks we were looking for somewhere to go for a few days cycling, have just booked 3 nights at callow top on the half price deal £36 includes ehu plus extra for dog. Even the old threads are very useful

We regular do the 3 resevoirs in the peaks, lady bower, derwent an another which are all kind if linked, its a good few hours in the saddle hut cant advise on a site as we wild, but there are a few in castleton that would be nice and qiute now i imagine

Hi can anyone recommend a good site for road or disused rail biking with showers and hook up please?

We recently stayed on Pomeroy Campsite between Buxton and Ashbourne .
A farm site with a brand new toilet and shower block some hard standings , water and waste on pitch and the high peak track is at the bottom of the site and pubs nearby.
