We couldn't take the fumes in the cab any longer so had to call the AA:Sad: They said they would give us a hire car to get home and would drop the motorhome off at our house around 12.30am, we have just got home from Lancashire and phoned the AA to see how the van was doing and the reply we got was it can take 48hrs, we are now trying to find out if the van is covered by them since the key is left with the van and i believe that isn't covered on any insurance, the guy said they will call us back when he has spoken to his manager. All our belongings are in the van and if we knew what was gonna happen we would have stayed with the van

ANYONE KNOW WHERE WE STAND?
:Doh:ROB&JANE:Doh:

many many years! since I was a kid
as you found out RELAY is just that, with your van transported between areas then handed over to the next truck eventually getting home. other recovery companies do a better for you straight through run

you need to carefully check the van for any dents or scrapes before signing for it, as transfering to and from the various transporters increases the risk of damage

And contents. The picture you paint it an open invitation for thieving. No way of proving just where anything went missing.

Hi Rob & Jane, so glad your m/h arrived back with you safely and in tact.

You didn't actually say what the fumes were that were causing the problem .....was it exhaust fumes when motoring along or perhaps the gas appliances while on site otherwise it could be a cooking battery.

I would have thought most of these could have been fixed or overcome without the need for a recovery and saved you the worry.

Of course it may just be that you wanted to save on diesel fuel :winky:

Now the wife is known to save a penny or two:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:but our problem was the new paticulate filter we had fitted to comply with the LEZ, this will be the FIFTH time we've taken it back for the same problem(BLOCKED).
I just asked the wife if she fancys a trip to france for the xmas markets and you should of seen her face:Angry: the van itself suits us with layout and appliances it's just this same old problem with the filter:Doh: No trips planned till we get to the bottom of it:thumb:

That's very sad and must be very annoying as you are not getting full use from the van as it is.

This must be how these LEZ compliant filters are designed to work then .........
..... in order to avoid nasty exhaust particulates going into the atmosphere they are redirected into the cab.
