With all this rain I have been spending a lot of time indoors, writing up my 12v seminar and sorting out instruments etc. I uncovered my old karaoke amplifier, it will run off of a 12V has 2 cassette drives and 4 mic inputs.
Now that could be useful so I fired it up and all still working fine. However I no longer have any microphones or mic stands etc. A cheapo condenser mic off of fleabay will do for talking but I suspect the quality is just not there for singing/ playing music. There are hundreds of cheap mics on ebay, I have bought them in the past only to have them fall to bits in 5 mins  and find they have crap sound quality:Sad:.
I have no idea what are good makes or a usable good cheap make. Anyone have any ideas. Any retired professional sound men out there with gear gathering dust I wonder if so please PM me with details/price etc.
