We are going full time shortly for about 2years around Europe.
We would appreciate any advice and tips on which credit cards give us the best exchange rates or a bank to load euros. Many thanks J J::

I'm sure someone will have better advice, but I have read that if you get a caxton card, you can load it with euros (choosing a day when the pound is high). I'm sure if you google it you'll come up with all the info. Your trip sounds fantastic. ::bigsmile:

I have no idea if this applies in your own situation but I think it is worth a read anyway if you intend to spend a year or more outside the UK.

Have used the Nationwide select credit card for purchases for some time with NO charges. As long as you set it up to be paid in full each month there are no charges whatsoever and you get a very good rate.

A few bum reviews but generally it seems like a good value way of spending money abroad.

If you are prepared to open an Account and transfer a minimum of £500 pm. into it, then the Norwich and Peterborough B/Soc. (owned by the Yorkshire B/Soc.) do not charge for transactions, cash or purchase anywhere in the EU.

The exchange rate is very good too.
